Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir is a Temple Run-style endless running game based on characters from the hit French animated TV series, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. Your chosen character runs automatically as you guide them over roofs, under obstacles, and into coins that you can use to buy costumes, new runners, and more.

Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir is a mobile game developed by Crazy Labs. It's similar to games like Temple Run, Sonic Dash, and other endless running games. Your camera follows behind a 3d character from the show Miraculous as they traverse Parisian rooftops to fight evil. 

In Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir, you swipe left, right, up, and down to make your chosen character run left and right, jump up, and crouch under obstacles. Each level has long tracks of coins that you can pick up by directing your chosen character to run in the proper location. Unlike some other running games, Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir has both sections of track where you have to run on walls and levels that act as boss battles. In boss battles, you run towards the camera, fleeing from projectiles that the boss throws while using generous on-screen cues to also avoid obstacles like trees.

Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir is different from some other endless running games in that it's not particularly difficult. In fact, you can actually complete levels within Miraculous Ladybug. This is a pretty big contrast to games like Temple Run, where the game's difficulty serves as a way to create replayability. You can get a big high score on Temple Run, but you can't "win." In Miraculous Ladybug, not only can you complete levels, but it's not particularly difficult to do so. At first, this is a refreshing change to the auto-runner formula, but the lack of difficulty might actually hurt the game's replayability once the setting and characters have lost their appeal.

The TV show Miraculous features bold 3d animated characters. Many of these characters are unlockable in the Miraculous Ladybug app game, with several looks available for some characters. While these 3d models look great, they don't quite look show authentic. It's a bit odd that the developers of the game didn't ask the TV creators for models that they could include in their game. What we get instead are great-looking 3d superheroes and supporting characters that somewhat resemble their show counterparts, but don't quite fit the bill. It feels almost like watching a sequel where a character has been recast.

While the game looks great, many players of Miraculous complain about the game's performance on their phones. You'll want a modern device if you want to get high framerates on Miraculous Ladybug reliably. Similarly, while the game is free, you'll find yourself watching quite a few ads to progress if you don't want to purchase the ad-free package available in the in-game shop. Characters cost a decent amount of in-game currency to unlock, meaning that spending a bit of real-life cash to skip the grind can be an appealing option.

Overall, Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir is an enjoyable game for fans of the series. It's got some neat twists on the auto-runner archetype that might make it worth checking out for fans of the genre, but it's probably not the best auto-runner on the market. Expect to play for a few hours, but expect to go back to Sonic Dash or Temple Run once the game loses its appeal.

The controls of Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir are simple. Swipe in the direction you want your character to go. To change lanes or run on walls, swipe to the side. To slide or jump, slide up or down. Your goal is to pick up key mission items, currency, and powerups while avoiding obstacles.

The first tip for anyone who wants to set high scores in an endless running game is to get comfortable. A cramp in your wrist can really strain your style, while a loose grip on a bumpy bus will cause issues with your gameplay. Try to play in a stable environment with a firm grip that you can maintain easily. This might seem like a basic tip, but it's definitely something to think about if you're having issues controlling your character reliably.

Next, prioritize mission objectives. Unlike some other endless running games, Miraculous Ladybug has modes that end once you pick up a few key items. These items are much, much more important than ladybugs since you need them to finish the level. If there's a chance to grab any of your objective items safely, take it!

Third, be sure to keep your wits about you when choosing where to run. Cars that flash their headlights will come barreling down the lane they're in after a few moments, so quickly get out of the way to avoid being crushed. When running, don't be afraid to combine movements, either. You can steer and slide at the same time, saving valuable seconds as you sprint across the rooftops.

Fourth, upgrade your powerups. Each time you upgrade a powerup it gets stronger and lasts longer. It's best to focus on multiplier, then magnet, then yoyo, then shield. Multiplier will give you tremendous score potential, magnet will ensure you collect all of it, yoyo will make it easy to collect, and shield can help save your runs when you encounter difficult sections of terrain. Try to activate multiplier and magnet at the same time for a big boost to your score.

Gift boxes are time-gated rewards that you should try to keep ticking at all times. As soon as you find a gift box on a stage, head to the gift box tab immediately to start the unlock timer. You can have up to four of these timers ticking down at once. If you have all four going already, it's probably a good idea to take a break from the game until your timers start to finish and you can collect your rewards.

Finally, don't forget about the stickers that you collect in-game. Finding all of the stickers in a set will give you a big score multiplier. The first set, Pharoh, gives you a x2 multiplier, and each set that you complete after that will increase that by one, up to a total of x9. This is a humungous boost to your score, so try to collect stickers whenever you can!
